-Introduction of Corea IT Net-

Corea Information Network (CIN) has successfully developed the world's first 32 channel digital video recorder (DVR) and is aggressively pursuing the domestic and global markets with our DVR's, which have many advantages over other similar products in terms of cost savings and space efficiency and technical superiority.
CIN is a company specialized in developing, manufacturing and selling digital video recorders (DVR's) . After many years of research and development, we have successfully developed the world's first 32 channel DVR using the MPEG-4 V3 CODEC compression algorithm. We are a leading manufacturer in the security industry in Korea.
The size of the security related markets is gradually expanding since the introduction of the DVR system, which is replacing the existing analog CCTV's. In response to additional security needs due to increased crimes and the society's peculiarities, the demand for DVR's is rapidly increasing.

We hope to be able to provide the best solutions to today's security concerns, develop state-of-the-art technologies and ultimately contribute toward improving Korea's competitiveness in the international market.

We plan to become a market leader in the security business not only in the domestic market, which has great potential, in Korea, but also in the global markets, starting out with a joint venture with China's WRT and then expanding to South Asia, North America and Europe.

- DVR Technology-

Conventional CCTV camera systems relied on storing recorded images on tapes, an analog medium. This system was inferior in that it required periodical changes of tapes, had low picture quality due to heat, and did not support on demand search of the recorded data.
DVR (Digital Video Recorder) is a next generation video surveillance device that digitally processes video images to make tapes unnecessary when recording large volumes of data and offer high picture quality by not being subjected to problems caused by heat.

Several technological aspects govern DVR’s economic prowess. From a developmental and       market demand perspective, these aspects can be summed into four large groups:
: Video Compression
: Video Display and Recording Quality
: Network Transmission
: Stability
-> Today’s DVR compression method has transgressed through the process of JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG1, Wavelet, MPEG2, JPEG2000, MPEG4 divX, and MPEG4. Behind this evolution of        compression method is the will to reduce video file sizes. Further compressing video sizes      places less load on the computer’s CPU and utilizes less HDD space to add greater stability  to the system in general.
Despite the above-mentioned compression algorithms however, the excessive load on        HDDs have yet been resolved. Large volume video data became necessary in response to           refinement in consumer needs, but the technology required to compress large volume video           data could not satisfy the demand. This consequently led to Corea Information Network’s a full one year development and release of its DVR system that utilizes MPET-4, the most          optimal video algorithm, for the method’s ability to maximize the use of HDD in video              storage.

Outline of MPEG-4

Why do you have to use the MPEG-4 Compress Algorithm?

- Today’s DVR compression method has transgressed through the process of JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG1, Wavelet, MPEG2, JPEG2000, MPEG4 divX, and MPEG4.
This consequently led to Corea Information Network’s many year development and release of its DVR system that utilizes MPET-4, the most optimal video algorithm, for the method’s ability to maximize the use of HDD in video storage.

Provides content-based interaction capabilities.

- Provides a tool for access to content-based multi media data
Content-based interaction and bit lineup (sequence) editing can be performed.
Data coding/processing of real and man-made video images can be done almost in real time.

Data Compression
- Improved compression efficiency / Coding/Processing of comprehensively and simultaneously generated data lineups (sequences)

Overall Design Approach
-  Can handle most error prone environments / Content-based resolution according to time and space

Application areas and goals of multi functions

- MPEG-4 is different from the standard design, because it has been designed to handle coding/processing of images' object and field/domain data separately.

Motion Compensation of Image Data
- In compensating for image motions, both the motion vector (MV) from the moving images and the MV from texture data have to be considered. The MV from already coded/processed MB around the subject MB is typically used. When the motion compensation error is larger than the setting, additional MV details around the subject MV are again detected and analyzed.
Data Size Change (Size Reduction)
- Measures how much data have deteriorated as a result of the size reduction and selects the smallest size until a size change error, besides the previously set threshold, occurs.
Image Data Coding/Processing
- Image data are coded/processed with the MB, which includes the object's boundaries, in consideration. Each picture element within the size changed MB is expressed in the binary form (0/1) to indicate whether it is inside of the object or outside. The binary information is mathematically processed. When each picture element's binary values decide on the probability of such values, the surrounding's picture elements also consider the time/space relationship in their 0/1 values.
Coding/Processing of Mode Information
- Data collected in various modes are affected by time and space. When the current object mode is coded/processed according to the previous object mode, the method of dynamically varying the lengths of variable length codes is implemented. Research is currently ongoing to be able to use short length codes when the previous object and the current object are in an identical mode.

2. Even though the equipment is connected to the
Internet, the images are clear as in those in
  moving video pictures.
3. Can verify the IP address and time of the unit
in access /contact without switching to
  another screen.
4. Can hear the surrounding sounds from the
installed cameras using voice data picked up
  by the cameras.
