PT. Manohara Asri was founded in 1995 by Mr. Singgih Gunawan with the brand 'Kenji' snack as the first product. The founder saw that uncoated peanuts dominated Indonesian market by far. He then strategically entered the coated peanuts industry. After three years of rapid growth, the company started investing in modern Japanese technology that processes and manufactures coated and flavored peanuts.

PT. Manohara Asri is an Indonesian snack factory based in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia. The main products are flavored peanuts, wafer sticks/chocolate rolls, and pellet (raw material of chips) .
The company uses high quality raw material and modern technology in its manufacturing process. The production of flavored peanuts, for example, uses freshly ground-picked raw peanuts that are further selected through a closely-supervised sorting and grading process.
The manufacturing process, from the sorting and grading of raw material to the seasoning, roasting, and packaging is highly mechanical, avoiding any direct physical contacts, and is closely monitored to ensure the quality and hygiene of the end-products.
