Orgachim JSC

“Orgachim” JSC is the biggest Bulgarian producer of paints, lacquers, dispersions, alkyd resins, epoxy resins, unsaturated and saturated polyester resins, amine resins, water based resins, phthalic and maleic anhydride, plasticizers, pigments and other chemicals for machine-building, construction, furniture industry, electronics, processing plastics and other industrial branches.

According to the latest marketing studying the company holds around 40 % of the Bulgarian market.

“Orgachim” JSC was established in 1901. During its 100 years history the company has passed through periods of wars and destructions, but it has always held its leading position, and it has been a company, determining the tendencies in the production of paints and lacquers in the country, as well as in the region.

The company was nationalized during 40s of 20th century, and in 1998 it was privatized and turned into a Joint Stock Company.

The company works with over 100 suppliers of raw materials and packages.
The main production installations are originally produced and maintained by companies-manufacturers of original equipment as Hagemann, Germany; BASF, Germany; Sabatier, France, etc. – a fact, which guarantees the production of high-quality products.

During the last few years, because of the strong marketing and distributor policy, on the consumers’ market over 20 brands were introduced. The most famous brands of Orgachim are DEKO PROFESSIONAL, HAMELEKON, LEKO, BLAGO, FASSAGEN, MEFISTO, PROTECTA, ALUTIN, BALKYD, RUVIPLAST, VINAKOL, etc.
The main brand of the company is the brand LEKO. This brand we succeeded to impose as a mass, well known and quality paint on a reasonable price. The consumers studying carried out in 2003 shows that we have 93% recognition of the brand LEKO and 43% registered consumers’ loyalty.
In 2003 the company started a program on installation and putting in operation of tinting systems – at this stage for tinting of water-dispersion paints for interior and exterior painting in over 10 000 colours. 100 such systems are functioning at the moment in the country. Implementation of a possibility for tinting of alkyd paints and an azure lacquer forth comes. The net of tinting systems is regularly spread on the territory of the country on specially formed company sales spots – shops, stalls in specialized commercial complexes.
The efforts of the Research and Development Base of the company are oriented to improvement and widening of the product range, as well as to development of special industrial and anticorrosive coatings, satisfying the most contemporary world tendencies and requirements.

The company traditionally presents on the local market, but 40 % of the production is exported to Turkey, Greece, Egypt, the Middle East, Romania, the ex-Soviet republics, etc.

As a public company during the last year “Orgachim” had a very good presentation at the Stock Exchange, as the inclusion of the company in the top ten companies, used at the calculation of the stock index SOFIX.

In 2003 “Orgachim” received the prize of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for the best company-emittant. The Stock Exchange for the first time found a special prize for emittants together with its traditional annual prizes for investment intermediary with the greatest number of dealt shares and for the broker with the greatest number of deals. Three of the public companies received the prize – Orgachim, Bulgartabac holding and Petrol. The evaluation criteria were timely and the most detailed disclosure of information.

In 2003 the company received and the prize of BMA (Bulgarian Marketing Association) for the best brand manager of 2003 for the marketing manager of the company.

In 2005 the company was nominated and won the award “Best Corporative Management” from “Investor Association”.
