Small Brief About Misr Kuwait Investment & Trading Co.
(MKIT) was founded1997, it is a joint venture owned by Egyptian, Canadian and Kuwaiti partners. Our mission statement dedicates the company to the pursuit of social, environmental and agricultural change. We actively attempt to minimize our impact on the environment; we promote fair trading relationships; we respect human rights, and we encourage education, awareness and involvement among our staff and customers.

LOCATIONS

Head Office is located in Sheraton Bldgs. , Heliopolis in Cairo, nearby Cairo Airport, which is divided into Management, Accounting, Commercial and Marketing Department.

Cattle Farms are located in Orabi Resorts, which is about 15 km away from head office, where we own 2 separate farms that has an output of 10,000 heads per year.

Factory is also located in Orabi Resorts, built up to newest standards accordingly to spec required by, EU, ISO, and HACCP certificates on 1200 sqm, for deboning, processing and packing meat products.

"Meatello Stores", are our outlets exhibiting our meat product which are present at the best quality and are located in Nasr City, Sheraton Area Heliopolis, Rehab City, and Orabi Resorts.

COMPANY'S PROFILE

"MKIT" employs around 200 employees between head office, farms, factory and our meat outlets "Meatello".

Transportation of goods is transported by our own refrigerated trucks, equipped for both chilled and frozen goods.

OBJECTIVES

• Establishing unique farms specified for fattening live local cattle beef and local buffalos.

• Processing, packing and distribution of all kinds of fresh meat.

• To distribute the production to end user dependent on quality and price.

ACTIVITIES

Cattle fatting: is done at the company's farms, under the supervision of qualified vets, specialized in cattle breeding and fattening. Each animal is tracked from the first stage till the slaughtering stage to assure the wellbeing of the meat.

Slaughtering: is done in government slaughterhouse under supervision of our qualified staff.

Ageing: after the carcasses are brought from the slaughterhouse, it is placed in our own chilled cold stores to condition it for the debonning and processing stage.

Packing: final product is packed into vacuum packages, and then stored in the chilled cold store for fresh items. In the case of frozen items, it enters the fast freezing tunnel then removed into frozen storages.

Processing and Manufacturing: is done at a high level of hygienic means, in a hygienic atmosphere. Hi-Tec machineries are used in the factory to produce different types of meat products. For example: raw meat, half-cooked and smoked items.

It is important to notice that we only use the best quality of local Egyptian meat that is disease free.
