Imagine
Creating a virtual office where the manager, the supervisor, and the mobile worker are all connected together while performing daily activities
For over a decade AustinDetek is committed to providing state-of-art solutions for management of field tasks in numerous industries. Various business houses are maximizing the productivity of their field operations by deploying the tools provided by us.
In contrast to the currently available tools which have limited applications and cater to isolated problems, the AustinDetek solution can be so configured that a number of problems your company may be facing are looked into and solved.
AustinDetek's experienced management and development professionals have a competent qualified team, capable of providing you with necessary tools and guidance to ensure that your company not only gets maximum benefit from the current technology, but is also prepared for the future.
In order to successfully compete in todays marketplace it is mandatory for your company to obtain maximum possible productivity from its workforce.
The typical worker reports to the office each day willing and able to start the days work.
The worker however must wait on others to supply information and instruction, or to set the priorities for the tasks to be executed.
Even when the tasks are complete, another worker must compile the results for statistical analysis or record keeping purposes, and double entry is required.
With FTMS the tasks to be executed and their priorities can be planned days, weeks or even months in advance.
Office workers can check their assignments as they report to work, and immediately begin executing their assigned tasks
Mobile workers can utilize the time spent in traveling to and from the office, and execute their assignments directly from their laptops or PDAs.
The need for double entry is eliminated and results from the office and the field are readily available for your analysis
This extra time that your employees work, means more task completed,
more billable hours generated.
More billing produces more profit.
In the past we have proven an estimated
ROI of
30 %
and above.
The current market for FTMS is in industries concerned with:
-Process management
-Sales force management
-Regulatory compliance
-Safety and readiness inspections
-Planned maintenance
-Field reporting
Companies implementing the FTMS system realize its immediate benefits and return on their investment from day one of its deployment.
Procedures and methods are well defined, and repeatedly executed correctly.
Fewer mishaps and injuries occur due to clarity of instructions.
The frequency of fines being charged from regulatory agencies decreases.
Equipment maintenance and reliability improves.
Manufacturing cost decreases and quality control improves.
Time spent in training and evaluating new employees reduces.
Latest and most recent data is available for analysis and planning
In a typical deployment scenario the FTMS database would be located on a central server within your local area network. Small installations of FTMS hosted using the royalty free MSDE database are supported, as well as medium size to enterprise wide installations that leverage the power of Microsoft SQL Server.
A manager starts by creating procedures (indicated by the rectangular block on the management terminal) . A Procedure is a list of tasks or steps that must be preformed by a member of the workforce. Many day to day operations involving capturing track-able information can be quickly and easily converted into FTMS procedures.
As the manager creates new procedures, they are stored in the database, and become part of a reusable library. The plus button being clicked indicates a new procedure being added. The appearance of rectangles within the server depicts a growing library of procedures. This library can then be subdivided by the manager into any number of categories such as maintenance or weekly inspections for easy sorting at assignment time.
Once the manager has populated the library with procedures, these procedures can be assigned to the workforce for execution. Managers can assign procedures to individuals for single execution, or on a reoccurring schedule. The scheduling sub-system allows the manager to define how often a procedure is assigned, in how much time the worker has to complete the procedure, and how close to the procedures deadline to warn the worker that the procedure has become urgent. The cursor clicking the calendar and the appearance of the colored checkmarks indicates procedures being scheduled for execution.
When workers, on the local area network, log onto the FTMS system the current list of procedures assigned to them appears on their workstation. The worker is presented with a list of procedures to be executed, when to execute them, and when are they due for completion. Workstations 1 and 2 above indicate two separate workers that are logged in, the rectangles on their workstations indicate the procedures that have been assigned to them for execution.
When the workers complete the procedures assigned to them, the result of their work is sent back to the FTMS database, and the completed procedures are removed from their list of assigned work. The green balls above represent assignments being completed and the result being sent back to the FTMS database. After results are accumulated, they can be searched, sorted and reported. Printed reports can be generated based on these accumulated results, to fulfill documentation needs.
Up to this point our examples have been focused on a local area network. The full power of FTMS however does not become apparent until you take into account the remote and mobile workers who can now participate using the FTMS system. Remote workstations, mobile laptops and PDAs are all examples of how industries can expand, and benefit from the wide area network concept. The pictures of each of these objects represent additional network resources that can be leveraged using the FTMS system.
Remote workers can connect to an FTMS Server on your existing network without the need of virtual private networking or global file sharing. These remote workers will be authenticated by username and password. After successful authentication and login, the remote workers receive their current lists of assigned procedures.
Remote workers do not need to remain connected to your network while executing procedures. The remote workstation in this diagram, remains connected while the worker completes the assigned procedure, and transmits his results back to the FTMS Server. Members of a workforce with laptops and PDAs however, can move about freely, and still execute the procedures assigned to them.
When the remote worker re-connects to the network, the results of the procedures executed are sent back to the FTMS Server. These new results are added to the FTMS database in the same format used by full time connected workstations and can be leveraged by the same searching, sorting and reporting methods.
Once the FTMS system has been set into motion and a schedule of operations defined, the system continues to dispatch work and capture results. These results include full range of necessary information, including who entered them, when they entered, where they entered, and any comments the worker may have made. With all these capabilities it is easy to see that FTMS not only satisfies many operational requirements, but also provides the connectivity you need.
Regardless of the nature of your industry, the basic needs remain the same. Information must be
gathered for analysis, procedures must be carried out, equipment must be
maintained, and compliance with regulations must be enforced.
The FTMS system fulfills all these needs and more. Whether your business is
automotive, aerospace, mining, manufacturing, consulting, or providing any
type of services, Your industry can benefit by implementing the FTMS system
FTMS provides seamless communication to your workforce, regardless of their geographical location.
Your workers may be inside a building such as a factory or a production unit,
or they may be blasting roads through mountains,
or your workers maybe lifeguards, reporting sea-level data or beach activity ,
any remote location can be connected.
FTMS eliminates geographical boundaries, and enables instant transfer of data between the field and your central database.
FTMS is the only ideal solution for any organization currently overseeing operations across multiple locations, or with plans to do so in future.
The prohibitive costs of developing in-house applications and the risk involved with the potential failure of such attempts are some of the reasons why smart companies are choosing FTMS for their information gathering needs.
Successful companies are interpreting all the information that FTMS provides and keep it on their fingertips, while allowing us to handle capturing and storing this data for them.
Real time information on your fingertips from anywhere in the world is no longer a concept of the distant future. FTMS can get you there today.
Thats The Power of FTMS
FTMS is a scalable and easy to use solution which is being implemented by Fortune 500 companies across the globe.
Listen to what our clients have to say:
Steve Smith, a systems analyst for Marathon Ashland Petroleum, had this to say
One of the hardest things for our managers was to keep track of all the information about the assignments scheduled, AustinDetek has successfully helped Marathon fill that gap. So far we have almost two hundred thousand procedures accumulated in the system, which is incredible in itself.
Dave Beckwith, the IT Manager of System Integration for MAP LLC, says.
We are using FTMS software in just under 100 remote terminals and have nearly 500 users throughout the company, and we can still maintain FTMS for our end users within the company quite easily
