Human Textures
Continental Hair: We provide a range of hair extensions aimed at the Asian, European and American origin. This hair is silky, straight and soft in texture and is available in a range of lengths and colours.
Natural Afro Caribbean: This product range is made to replicate hair for people from Afro Caribbean origin. Although soft in texture, this hair still maintains a stronger structure than European or Continental hair.

Human Hair Weighting
American Dream hair is supplied at a standard weight of 113grams. We recommend using 113-226grams of hair to complete a whole head. American Dream also offers 1/3 Silky Straight Hair in 40grams for highlighting and mixing colours without having to purchase more hair than required.

Human Hair Ends
All American Dream Human hair extensions are available in six ends; Hand wefted, Machine Wefted, Super Thin Weft, Bondex, Karatin/Infusion and Bulk Hair.

Synthetic Fibres
Synthetic fibre can be used as an alternative to human hair extensions and is often preferred when creating braids, plaits and cornrows.

American Dream offers the choice of 6 different synthetic fibres; PP Fibre, Tara 2 Fibre, Uno Fibre, Kanekalon Fibre, Mono Fibre and High Temperature fibre. The main difference between the fibres is their texture and durability.

Heat and Synthetic Hair
Synthetic hair is in essence a man made fibre used to replicate human hair. Most
fibres used can not have any form of heat applied to them as they would melt.

However, the latest American Dream range includes a High Temperature Fibre which can endure heat of up to 250 degrees – therefore giving you the flexibility to change the hair style as and when you please – from straight to curly and back again. This is also the first synthetic hair on the market which can be dyed without affecting the fibre.
