Understanding the barrier functions, transdermal water loss and the exogenous or endogenous ‘offenders’ that result in dry, scaly skin was necessary to design EPITONE FACIAL & BODY HYDRATING LOTION to help promote repair of cutaneous barrier function. Realizing that the stratum corneum is a dynamic and interactive tissue, emphasis was placed on the addition of suitable moisturizing agents such as lipids, lubricants, humectants and emollients in correct proportion so as to be effective and yet not irritating to sensitive skin.
