Nerello del Bastardo

Nerello del Bastardo is made from a blend of excess Barolo and Barbaresco.

When a winemaker wishes to produce a Barolo or a Barbaresco the laws governing the production of these two wines only allow a certain quantity after aging (a minimum of 4 years) to be labeled Barolo or Barbaresco the (superi) excess wine can only be sold as table wine even though it is the same product. We came up with a blend made with excess Barolo and Barbaresco with a touch of red tuscan wine which has created this unique super wine.
