Yellow Ayahuasca is more often referred to as Ayahuasca cielo; it is a relatively gentle but powerful healing vine capable of vivid and highly transformative visions. Such visions can often hold important insights into the drinker’s life and frequently visions of animal spirits such as giant snakes or big cats are experienced. Yellow Ayahuasca is probably the best choice of vine for someone’s first journey.
Presently our vine is harvested from the wild as plantation vines are still too young to harvest. The vine is not killed as the roots are left in tact which allows for re-growth. Our Ayahuasca is dried naturally in the sun for 4 weeks.
Within about 10 to 20 minutes of boiling the caapi in water, the water starts to change color - the Yellow caapi turns a dirty yellow. After this amount of time, the water color for all caapi is very similar. The Shamans we have spoken too seem to be able to differentiate by sight the color of the caapi without boiling it first.
