The cool and dry mountain side climate of Mendoza, Argentina, is particularly suited for Malbecs. The long 'hang time' allows the grapes to fully develop producing fruity and intense wines.
The winemakers craft is the blending of these qualities and the flavors imparted by barrel fermentation, the resulting contact with the lees produced by this fermentation and the quality of the barrels in which the wine is aged. Timing is all important.
