GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A dead weight pressure tester with an accuracy of ±0.05% is used to calibrate those of lower accuracy such as ±0.2%, or precision pressure gauges.
The working principle of the dead weight pressure tester is based on the balance action between two pressures. One of them is developed by the weight of the piston itself and the dead weights, which exercise the force on the effective area of the piston. The other pressure develops in the hydraulic container.
