Huang Shan Mao Feng we supply has the authentic“ivory yellow” color. The shape of the tea buds are a bit curvy, and look like a sparrow tongue. You will also notice that the size of the bud pieces is very consistent, very homogeneous. The liquor-light green tinged with yellow. When infused, the robust little buds plump up. The processing of MaoFeng is precise and exacting-all stages are carried out in small batches (200--250g) for a high quality grade, a gradual lowering of the drying temperature and a two-step cooling and reheating process which are all critical steps that must be painstakingly observed to produce delicately dried tea leaves with the rich green tea flavor locked inside.

Huang Shan Mao Feng: The tip (in Chinese "Feng") of the tea bud is covered with a layer of white down (in Chinese "Mao") , and it is grown around the Mountain Huang (Yellow) , in Anhuui province ("Mountain" means "Shan" in Chinese) , that's the reason why it is called" Huang Shan Mao Feng".
