Metriscan is a pre-screening device. In many countries there is a limited availability of DEXA units. A DEXA is a whole body X-ray device which is available is some bigger hospitals. The DEXA is looking atthe T-score in the hip, spine and wrist. Normally there are waiting lists for those machines (because of limited availablity and high investment) . It appears that approximately 80% of the people who get a DEXA examination have a negative result and 20% have some level of Osteoporosis.
