Product Name: Ammonium Polyphosphate, APP
CAS No: 68333-79-9
Our factory is the large manufacturer of APP (n>1000) in Asia at present, APP is a counter grade of Exolit AP 422 made by Clariant Gmbh, it offers very low water solubility (max. 0.2%) and Acid source resulting in the main constituent of many intumescent flame retardant systems in fire-proof coatings as well as polyolefin plastics

Product Description:
APP is a fine-particle ammonium polyphosphate produced by a special method. The product is largely insoluble in water and completely insoluble in organic solvents. It is white, non-hygroscopic and non-flammable, whose crystalline form is II, n>1000.

Physical and Chemical Property:
Appearance: White free flowing powder
Phosphorus: 31.0-32.0%
Nitrogen: 14.0-15.0%
PH Value (10% suspension) : 5.5-7.0
Water Content, %(w/w) : 0.25% max
Thermal Decomposition: 2750min
Density at 250: 1.9kg/L
Apparent Density: 0.7kg/L
Viscosity (25 in 10% suspension) : 100 mPa. s
Solubility in water, g/100cm3: 0.5%
Average particle size: D50: 15 m; D95: 50 m

We also have the other specification whose Phosphorus is 27.0-27.9% and Nitrogen is 18.0-20.0.
It is mostly used in intumescent coating, polyurethane foams and cellulose (for example: paper and wood) . Because of its high heat stability, APP is all essential component in intumescent formulations for thermoplastics, particularly polypropylene, for which the classification UL 94-V0 is specified for application in the electrical sector.

Toxicity and Storage:
APP is innocuous, which should is advisable to store in a hidden dry place. Safety step should be used owing to that the powder is very thin.

Packing: 25KG bags with PE lining
