SBE-111 Krascor one-package enamel-coating is made from modified caoutchouc-resin. The basic colours it is available in are black, brown and beige, although any colour can be made to order upon the customers request.
Type A is intended for the protection of metal structures from corrosion and is effective in temperatures up to 1000C. It may also be applied to wet surfaces of metal structures.
Type B is intended for the protection of metal structures and equipment from corrosion and is effective in temperatures up to 1000C in harsh en-vironments such as those found in storage facilities and any machinery used in the transportation of fertilisers; pipes, metal containers and reservoirs, guttering, steel and other types of metallic roofs etc. This enamel is intended for protecting metal structures and equipment from corrosion in a tropical climate.
Type V is intended for the protec-tion of metal structures and equipment from corrosion and is effective in temperatures up to 1000C in very harsh environments, such as the inner surfaces of equipment, pipes and other structures in thermal power sta-tions etc.
Type G is intended for the protection from corrosion of metal struc-tures and equipment that come into contact with oil or oil products and is effective in temperatures up to 700C. This enamel may be used to protect structures made from aluminium and its alloys and various forms of steel, such as stainless, zinc-treated and low-carbon steel.
Type PV is intended for the pro-tection from corrosion of metal struc-tures and equipment that periodically become submerged or come into con-tact with fresh and/or salt water and is effective in temperatures up to 1000C.
The enamel can be applied in temperatures from -250C to +350C and in relative humidity of up to 100%. It is possible to apply the enamel to the surface of steel that is covered with a thick layer of corroded material (St2 as per ISO 8501) up to 1005m in thickness. The enamel can be applied directly to clean surfaces, surfaces covered in dirt and flaking rust and wet metallic surfaces (i. e. those in the presence of dripping water) . The enamel can be applied using brushes, rollers or airless/pneumatic spray guns. A double coating applied to a steel surface (up to grade Sa2 or St3) in temperatures higher than -250C and in relative humidity of up to 100% will retain its protective properties for at least ten years. An enamel coated surface of at least 4005m thickness can withstand 30% HCl, 60% H2SO4, 40% NaOH and other strong acids and bases in temperatures of up to 500C. The surface can also withstand the presence of a 10% solution of HCl, a 6% solution of NaOH, a 5% solution of H2SO4 heated to tempera-tures of up to 7012 degrees C
