green and black tea
All tea comes from the same plant: Camelia sinensis. Oolong is probably best described as being halfway between green and black tea, which gives it a unique full-bodied flavor and a surprising, wonderful aroma. It is partially fermented; after picking it is alternately exposed to sunlight and 'bruised' in bamboo baskets. Oolongs range in color from bright green to dark brown. Once brewed oolong tea can be almost colorless to medium brown depending on the length of time brewed.
Oolong tea has a unique drying process that creates metabolic attributes that help to stimulate weight loss. It also contains antioxidants like the other teas to help bond to free radicals thus disallowing them to cause harm to the body's tissue.
