The Signal Analysis Station is a PC based system capable of analysis, automatic signal recognition, demodulation and text decoding of narrow band digitally modulated COMINT signals in real-time and offline mode. The system uses state of the art audio recording technology to acquire and digitize signals at superior quality.
The system features automatic signal classification allowing faster demodulation of generic signal types, which includes single & multi-carrier ASK, FSK, MFSK, PSK, Hybrid, QAM16, various CCITT / ITU-variants and OFDM. Automatic Signal classification includes determination of carrier frequencies, modulation rate, modulation index, type of modulation and burst parameters. Automatic analysis of the demodulated bit stream adds further information like ACF peaks, parity, repeated bit patterns, alphabet-coding scheme etc.
The system has many built in text decoders, which include STANAG 4285, STANAG 4529 and MIL-STD-188-110, A (single tone) , MIL-STD-188-110 A App. A (39 tone) , MIL-STD-188-141A (ALE-8) , PACTOR, SITOR, PICCOLO, COQUELET, TWINPLEX. Optionally the system features a custom decoder integration package for adding custom decoders.
The system also features an RS-232 bit-stream output of the demodulated signals, these signals can be used for further analysis.
