POLYURETHANE INJECTION RESIN
PUR 251 is a polyurethane enabling an extremely fast reaction with water to take place. The first contact with water causes to expand as a foam very rapidly, and the resultant firm elastic material prevents further seeping in of water. This reaction proceeds very quickly, even at temperatures of about 00C. The semi-rigid foam adheres firmly to the surface and is still flexible even at tempertatures of -200C. The inert PUR 251 foam is resistant to acids and lyes and does not attack bitumen, sealing strips or concrete.
PUR 251 possesses a vertain miscibility with water, so that a rapid reaction with water takes place even unter poor conditions. Of course, when the undersurface is very dry, no spontaneous foaming of the material takes place; in this case, PUR 251 hardens slowly by the action of atmospheric moisture or dampness in the concrete, these being always present.
FIELD OF APPLICATION
PUR 251 is an injection and filling resin for those cracks and joints in concrete and masonry.
PUR 251 is suited for dry and water-bearing cracks as well. PUR 251 is used where neither a strong bond nor a proper expansion joints is the right solution. PUR 251 withstands permanent water pressure.
PUR 251 is a solvent free, low viscosity two-component injection resin without added filler, based on epoxy resin.
