Our activated carbons are produced or reactivated in factories in the Czech Republic, with company participation in factories in Italy. Producing and recycling of active coal at temperatures around 8500C for twenty minutes in an atmosphere of smoke and steam. With this cleaning method, active coal is produced with renewed high absorption capability, comparable in value to new, active coal. The quality of reactivation is controlled by set values of absorbed isotherm and the iodine number. The sorbents are collected and handled in large-volume sacks of about (1m3) . In the past, this equipment was successfully used to regenerate products for mostly European suppliers like Silcarbon, Chemviron Carbon, etc.

Reactivated carbon costs are 25 to 50 percent lower than virgin carbon: 0.79 per kg.
RESORBENT provides many types of virgin and reactivated carbons including granular, palletized and powdered materials that are produced from various raw materials including coal, wood, and coconut shell. In addition to these standard products, RESORBENT also offers a number of proprietary and/or patented specialty impregnated carbons.
Resorbents technical personnel can assist you in determining the best type of carbon for your application.
Here is a list of typical activated carbon applications:
 Acid purification
 Air stripper off-gas
 Amine purification
 Carbon dioxide purification
 Catalyst support
 Citric acid purification
 Corn syrup decolorization
 Decaffeination of coffee
 De-chlorination of drinking water
 Gasoline vapor recovery
 Glycerin purification
 Glycol purification
 Gold recovery
 Groundwater remediation Incinerator flue gas
Indoor air filtration for HVAC systems
 Mercury removal from liquid hydrocarbons
 Mercury removal from gases
 Organics from drinking water
 Process water treatment
 Product purification
 Soil/sludge stabilization
 Soil vapor extraction treatment
 Tank venting
Taste and odor control for municipal
 Ultrapure water treatment
 VOCs from drinking water
 Wastewater treatment
For example, an industrial water treatment customer using 45 360 kilograms of carbon every three months and paying 1.40 per kg for virgin carbon and 0.80 per kg for reactivated carbon could save approximately 108 864 in one year.
This savings is based upon the operation initially purchasing virgin carbon and replacing it three times with 90 percent reactivated carbon and 10 percent virgin carbon.
