Stimulates plant growth
High visual light output
A general light source with a high visual light output and a very high colour rendering index (CRI) and low UVB radiation. This bulb is suitable for snakes, all amphibians (frogs, toads and salamanders) and nocturnal animals. Plants will thrive under this light as well. It is also a perfect complementary light to a UVB bulb to boost visual light.
For reptiles with high UV requirement
Ideal for all tropical and sub-tropical reptiles
High UV output
Recommended in combination with Reptisun 2.0
This bulb has a moderate to high UVB output as seen in shady environments like rainforests. Reptiles living in these habitats receive less UV radiation because of the many elements that prevent direct sunlight from striking animals and their basking sites. The humidity in these locations is fairly high which filters out some of the UV rays. Weather conditions vary during the day, so there is less sunshine.
For reptiles with very high UV requirements
Makes desert animals thrive
Very high UV output
Recommended in combination with Reptile growth lamps (2.0UVB)
A bulb associated with desert environments and thus with a very high UV-output. Desert locations receive more direct sunlight than any other because of fewer clouds, less air humidity and no plants or trees to provide shade. Desert animals are more exposed to UV than other reptiles.
More UVB than any other fluorescent tube, provides an effective UVB source without providing excess heat. Great for old world chameleons and other reptiles requireing increased UVB exposure without higher temperatures
This latest advancement in reptile UVB lighting is effective at distances up to 20 (compared to 12 with the 5.0UVB) .
Taller habitats, screen cages, and tank covers can all reduce the amount of UVB reaching your reptiles; the high output ReptiSun 10.0 will ensure that your reptile receives beneficial levels of UVB even in these situations.
