I. UREA:25,000 Metric Ton +/_15% in good prices will increase by 15%.
This standard specifies the requirements for Urea intended for use as fertilizer.
2.1.1 Urea shall be in the form of prills or crystals. It shall be free from visible impurities and from dust.
2.1.2 The mass of each bag of Urea shall be within the tolerance limit of + 1% of the declared mass.
2.1.3 In the form of prills, the portion of the material passing through 3.00 mm aperture size sieve and retained on 1.00 mm aperture size sieve shall be not less than 90 percent by mass
2.2 Chemical Requirements
The material shall also comply with the requirements specified in the following table when tested according to the methods specified in the last column of the table.

Urea shall be packed in polypropylene bags with an inner loose tubular liner of polyethylene film.
Each container shall bear the following information:
- Types of fertilizer
- Net mass of fertilizer
- Content of the nutrient
Each container of Urea complying with the requirements of this standard shall be marked with the appropriate designation and shall bear the EAS Standards Mark upon approval by the Ethiopia Authority Standardization of (EAS) .
In marking orders and in technical and commercial documents Urea (U) shall be designated as follows:
U/ES D. B1.003 shall mean Urea according to ES D. B1.003.
In polypropylene bags containing 50 kg. (+ 0.5%) net Bags to have an inner tubular liner of polyethylene film. An additional 5% of empty spare bags to be de delivered with the consignment.
A) OUTER BAG
Polypropylene Bags suitable for 50 kilo net, shall be made from beige polypropylene of tapes, cloth to be of plain Weave with a minimum construction of 12 X 12 tapes/inch made of 1200 denier.
UV Stability Test
Material must have not less than 70% strength retention after 200 hours in the Weathero meter, (Test method 5304 U. S Federal Standard 191) .
Double sewing at the bottom and top through a minimum of 4 layers of cloth, with acid and heat resistant polyester thread, with sufficient breaking strength.
B) Liner Specification
Inner tubular liner of 0.175 mm (Test method ASTM D374) polyethylene film made of virgin materials (regenerated materials not acceptable) having an impact resistance of 165 g/cm (Test method ASTM 1709) . The liner shall be sewn into the top and in the bottom of the outbreak, under the seal. The liner shall have sufficient over-size compared to the sizes of the outer bag. In width 2 cm and in length 7 cm.
Bags shall be labeled as follows:-
