The product is made of strips of bamboo. These strips are well selected, well polished. Then they are pressed from center outward basing on a frame to make a sure shape. Each vase takes 45 days to complete. After a coating of cashew oil-based glue, the work is left to dry. Each pieces is cut, shaped and smoothed by hand, as many as four times and then polished repeatedly. It takes many coats of paints, and many more polsihings, to bring rough bamboo to this smooth, glowing finish. The handicrafted nature of this product will produce slight variations in form and size.
