Optical windows are optical glass with polished faces that are relatively parallel. They are used as a protective element between two environments and their impact on the passage of visible light is neutral. Optical windows are used for protecting fragile optical components inside an assembly. AR coated BK7 glass window is the most common type. It has good performance over visible and near infrared wavelength region. We also offer fused silica windows and sapphire windows for wider spectral region and harsher environment. BK7 window is the lowest cost type of all three.
For round windows, the diameters we do are from 5mm to 100mm. The thickness is from 0.5mm to 12mm. Dimension tolerance is +/-0.05mm, surface quality is 40/20 or better, such as 20/10. The materials include BK7, fused silica, quartz, borosilicate glass and Caf2. We can do AR coating on the surfaces.
We can also produce as per requested specifications or drawings. Please inform your need, we will design the windows for you.
